A scene for our upcoming children’s book
IT’S ALL LED TO THIS. In the stunningly mediocre novel by critically unacclaimed author Greyson Smith, Hector the ex-drug-dealer faces his past in a wildly inventive, slightly illogical final battle that will literally leave your lower jaw hanging four feet below your skull in record-breaking levels of shock and awe at the train wreck- er, masterpiece that is HECTORIUM INFINIUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, so I know I took almost five months to get this chapter done, but… well, this time it’s real: Hector and his pals are REALLY nearing the end of this book. Prepare for hijinks!
Urickh’s sheriff was a few sandwiches short of a picnic and about as sharp as mashed potatoes. He tried his best, but Urickh was a crime-ridden town, and the sheriff had a hard time keeping up. So, you shouldn’t be surprised when I tell you that a group of six thugs...
The 3 friends/main characters in our book, hiking up a hill
Hector and his friends set out to take down Flores and his henchmen. The climax of the novel approaches…
“A theologian, a judge, a business owner, and an tzulik walk into a bar.”
Thus begins a very bad joke, and a very good chapter of HECTORIUM INFINIUM!
A little girl on the beach at sunset.
I really enjoyed making this illustration. Drawing the water was definitely a challenge, but it was so fun!
Flores and his dastardly crew have suffered a defeat at the hands of their enemies- but the loss is minor, and they aren’t out of the game yet. Tension rises, secrets unfold, and the stunning conclusion approaches at approximately 3 miles per hour!
I originally had this as a full color illustration, but I wasn’t loving it…so I changed it to be sort of monochromatic and vintage looking. I love how it turned out!
Hector and his friends from the Divine Celestial Monarchy have a plan to take down Flores. But they’re going to need more than a special snake. So Goonda turns to his specialty: Large, boring manuscripts. (Well, and a few other things.)
You are probably wondering about Lyman right now. Where is he? What is he doing? Did he throw any solid oak doors around today? Or at least some chairs? In fact, the answer is really quite boring. Lyman was picking his teeth with a chicken bone and sighing happily...
This illustration took me 2 hours and 19 minutes!
I drew the other main character in my story, Sally.
I drew my character, Lyman Beighn, mostly known as. “The Green Beighn”, the best bounty hunter in Fidledom. If you aren’t aware of this character, be sure to read my story, The Green Beighn. I post parts of it as I write it.
Journey with Hector as he contemplates existence, remembers an unfortunate episode with a hamster (left intentionally vague), and displays his incredible lack of knowledge about history. Oh, and he almost gets shot.
